I've gotten Tales of the Abyss running perfectly, but I can't seem to get settings for Champions: Return to Arms to work. It started with the half screen bug so I was forced to use software mode instead of hardware, and because of this the game only runs at about 20 fps and is EXTREMELY slow and unplayable.

Not to mention that there are huge graphical bugs too like the floor turning into white squares and things. So I was just wondering if there was anyone that has played this game on PCSX2 and what settings they were using for it. My specs - NVidia gtx 960, i7 930 @ 2.8 ghz, 12gb ram, windows 7 • • • • •. There's your problem right there.

The half-screen bug in Snowblind games was fixed recently so you'll want to upgrade to a newer development version of PCSX2. You can download them from here: If you want to keep using 1.2.1, you'll need to keep running Champions: Return to Arms in a software renderer to avoid the bug. In order to speed up the software renderer, go into GSdx's Plugin Settings and set the Extra rendering threads to something like 3-5. The correct number of extra rendering threads varies depending on your CPU and the game you're playing, so you'll need to experiment to see which number gives you the best performance on that game. Using direct3d9 (hardware) this might help, screenshot of what it looks like and the settings page for my graphics edit: i spent more time getting that screenshot, uploading it and making that post. I changed it to direct3d11 and it seems to be running better now.

Though if you wanted to look at my settings and tell me what else i have wrong that'd be greatly appreciated. It seemed to lag a little when i was running around, but i only was on it for a few minutes once again thanks for helping out a newb like me, first time ive used pcsx2, only other emulators have been like vba and zsnes which are the most simple things ever • • • • •.
